The National BIDs Conference on November 7th was a fantastic opportunity for UK Engage to connect with Business Improvement District (BID) professionals and discuss the future of voting and engagement within the sector. With a line up of informative seminars, lively discussions, and an energised exhibition floor, we were delighted to receive positive feedback and interest in our services.
Positive Feedback & Brand Recognition
We were pleased to be sought out by several attendees who had seen our recent marketing communications—a special thanks to Laura and the team for making this possible! The feedback from our discussions was incredibly encouraging, with many attendees mentioning they had “heard good things about UK Engage.” This recognition was particularly strong among Northern BIDs, where there is already collaborative engagement between UK Engage and various working groups, reinforcing our commitment to supporting BIDs across the UK.
Real-Time Engagement: The Demand for Online Voting
One of the conference highlights was the growing interest in online voting solutions. In the “Future of BIDs” seminar, industry leaders discussed the need for modern voting alternatives—not just for cost efficiency, but as a solution to postal delays and a way to receive quicker responses from members. Although current legislation does not permit online voting for BIDs, this conversation sparked meaningful discussions. UK Engage’s live demo of our e-voting platform showcased how a digital voting solution could operate, and we are optimistic about the potential for future legislative changes that could bring this to life for BIDs.
Growing Connections and Partnership Opportunities
During the conference, we had the opportunity to connect with BID organisations that expressed immediate interest in our services, leading to requests for estimates and quotes. We look forward to potentially serving more BIDs with tailored solutions to meet their needs.
In addition to client interest, we had promising discussions with potential new partners, in the UK and across the pond with a US-based company!
