UK Engage partner with and work very closely with the General Federation of Trade Union and we recently attended the Bi-annual General Council Meeting (BGCM) as a Win:Win supplier to GFTU Affiliates.
It was a pleasure to attend the BGCM, which was held over 3 days and also included a Gala dinner and special concert. The event was well attended by representatives of Trade Unions, who were able to meet with Win:Win suppliers and find out how they can benefit from their services. The BGCM also gives members the opportunity to vote on a wide range of topics to steer the GFTUs direction moving forward.
This year we said a sad farewell to Doug Nichols who retired from his role as General Secretary after 47 years of service. Gawain Little takes over the General Secretary role and with Sarah and Ian taking their roles as President and Deputy President respectively, will continue with the good work the GFTU provides, especially with their education trust.
It was great for us at UK Engage to see so many familiar faces at the event and discuss democratic processes for Trade Unions and show case our UKEmeet solution for trade union member conferences.
